What’s It All About?

Things were pretty dark in January of 2008.  I was taking two hormones, a steroid, an anti-asthma medication, and over fifty herbal and vitamin pills every day.  I had recently finished six months of high-dose antibiotic therapy and had tried just about every alternative healing approach in the known universe.  Two doctors said that I had Chronic Lyme Disease.  Another thought it might be an auto-immune disorder.  All I knew was that I had a chronic cough, awful body aches, a terrible rash, and fatigue so intense that some days I could hardly make a fist.  I cancelled lunch with friends for my 39th birthday because sitting up and socializing was way more than I could manage.  I had felt this way, more or less, for almost six years.

Fast forward to one year later, January 2009, when I threw myself a 40th birthday party for 50 guests and danced for hours.  I was no longer on any medications at all.  I was running three times a week.  I was finally getting back to work.  After six years spent mainly in bed or in the offices of health care providers, all this “normal” activity felt like a gift.   It was so good to be back.

How did I get from 2008 to 2009? I adopted the eight healing habits listed below and decided that anything less than total health and vitality was not an option for me.

My healing lifestyle is based on a raw, vegetarian diet; several detoxifying practices; nurturing my emotional wellbeing; and lots of high quality sleep and exercise.  But, this is not a “How-to” seminar for following my diet, detoxifying and exercise routines.  This Six-week tele-seminar course is designed to give anyone who wants to improve their health the skills to find and commit to their own healing path.

Each weekly tele-seminar will include a one-hour introduction to the week’s topic, followed by 30 minutes of Q & A with participants.  The next course is:

Monday evenings at 8pm (East Coast Time) for six weeks beginning on February 3, 2014

OR (if there is sufficient demand for two classes)

Tuesdays at 12noon (East Coast Time) for six weeks beginning on February 4, 2014
